Coworker hints for a free ride to a supplier visit, so junior employee spite-commutes by hour-long public transit until the boss makes coworker drive: 'My manager berated him for being irresponsible'

Nothing motivates a person quite like pure, unfiltered workplace spite. In this office, an employee works just 20 minutes away and normally choses to drive to work because the public transit option is a one-hour, multi-transfer nightmare. Fair enough.

Meanwhile, his senior coworker also drives, works regular hours, and conveniently dumps every planning task for an upcoming supplier visit onto this employee.

Then came the dreaded question: "So… who's driving?"

For a month straight, the senior kept dropping hints by complaining about driving, fishing for reassurance, and basically just trying to Jedi mind-trick his subordinate into volunteering. But he wasn't having it.

Instead, he decided to weaponize inconvenience of public transportation.
